Interior or exterior, modern or vintage, the Kathryn Waltzer Interior Design aesthetic is consistently beautiful and enduring. Her talent for interpreting and creating virtually any style is a rare ability in the world of interior design, particularly when the concept of branding a single interior design aesthetic is still in high demand. While trends in interior design evolve or disappear, timeless design never goes out of style and likewise, the Kathryn Waltzer “brand” of interior design is one that will remain a constant and one that will always be of interest to both the new clientele and the media. Waltzer has amassed a portfolio of striking interior and exterior design projects. Regardless of the style, her work conveys a sophisticated and stylish aesthetic with a fresh interpretation and signature touch of Waltzer’s own.
“Kathryn recently designed our master bathroom remodel, also helping to choose the contractor, materials and decor items. She has impeccable taste, is extremely well-organized, and is a pleasure to work with on a personal level. She is also efficient and communicates regularly and clearly. My husband and I are thrilled with the result, and credit her with making the project such a resounding success.” – M&T C
“We are almost finished with a 3500 sq. ft. condo project with Kathryn. It is a remodel in which Kathryn played an integral part with the design and the contractor. We are mostly through the decorating and Kathryn is certainly attuned to the details and has a good working relationship with all the vendors. Through it all, Kathryn has been a reliable, unflappable professional and has demonstrated great skills in working with differing opinions and personalities. I wouldn’t hesitate to work with Kathryn again.” – S&C A
Influenced by travel, the arts and architecture, Waltzer incorporates the essence of these subjects in each project, whether in metaphor or the form of custom furniture, or creating a color palette, a sensitive updating, a brand new home or commercial space. Equally, influencing a project is the architectural style and the client requirements. Waltzer’s clients range from bankers, authors, newspaper editors, engineers, graphic artists, film director, surgeons, lawyers, television writers, executives and producers, actors, pro athletes, and a Northern California Winery, Anselmo Vineyards.
“We moved to a contemporary house after living in a Tudor, and she helped with the move, getting furnishings sold with an estate seller, then figuring out which pieces to keep. She made sure we could plan around much loved furnishings, yet update the entire design to reflect our new contemporary open floor plan. She always kept the big picture in mind, even when planning for the smallest details, like changing the cushion color to our Saarinen dining chairs, which actually warmed up the space and tied together the open areas. She listened to us, and how we wanted to use the space, and made suggestions and choices that reflected this. We love the result, and highly recommend her design services.” – D&D
Waltzer graduated from the Interior and Environmental Design program at UCLA Extension. She is a Certified Interior Designer, and a professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers. She lives in a Case Study House.
